Talking about android devices and users, many users have
one point in time complained about insufficient memory
space in trying to install new apps, and more so when
they feel that their devices is supposed to still have
plenty of free memory space.
But one thing I will like you to understand here first
before we delve into the matter of the day is based on
how android device memories are often partitioned.
Normally, the internal memory of android devices is
usually partitioned into 2; memory allotted for apps
installation (often regarded as device memory ) and the
other memory for mass storage (often regarded as
Phone memory).
You should also know that out of this partition of total
internal memory, the installation memory is usually
allotted smaller memory size and the rest goes for the
mass storage
Though the sizes allotted for the installation memory
often vary with the type of device that you are using, but
just know that it often carry the smaller portion and
hence when the installation memory is filled and you try
to install new app, you will be greeted with insufficient
space, whereas you still have ample space in your mass
storage memory.
Having said all these, there are different ways you can
still go ahead solving to reasonable extent the problem of
insufficient memory that you are sometimes faced with
to keep your android device capable of taking in more
apps.
In this vein, I bring to you the 5 major ways you can
achieve that without hassle;
1. You should always clear cache of all your apps from
time to time or simply download cache cleaner to
assist you. In case you don’t know, Cache is just like
unwanted memory that builds up from time to time
on the course of making use of the various apps on
your device, so clearing them up will help to free up
more space for incoming or new installations.
2. You can download the app App2SD and use it to
move some of your installed app from the
installation memory to an external SD memory card.
3. Root your device and after rooting, look for a folder
in your device memory named “ Log other mod ” and
delete the entire contents in it. Remember, rooting
also grant you super access to move some of your
installed app to external SD card without needing
additional app.
4. If you are using a Samsung device, you can dial the
code *9900# and delete “ dumpstate logcat”
5. Consider getting a better device with ample
memory.
